ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Sim
I am a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Personal Trainer and the founder of For Gut Sake.
I created this program after I was FED UP with not getting any answers with my gut issues and other symptoms and was not going to accept feeling anything less than amazing.
You do not have to settle with your symptom, the crappy way you feel does not have to become "your new normal". You just need someone like me, to hear you, see you and be as invested into your health as you are.

My Story
But before I start.....did you know...
At least 50% of Australian adults experience unpleasant gut symptoms such as bloating, gas and constipation, and 1 in 7 experience distressing symptoms 😱
People also don't realise that symptoms that are "non digestion" related are actually caused by poor gut health. There is no system that is untouched by the gut.
7 out of 10 deaths are caused by chronic disease...
1 out of 10 women have PCOS.
1 in 6 Americans have an autoimmune disease (more than cancer a nd heart disease combined)

It makes me so sad seeing so many women go through what I have years ago and only until my recent year of fully healing… It is way to common.
From about 7 years, I was constantly sick, suffered extreme PMS - heavy, irregular painful periods, brain fog, skin rashes/hives, sever fatigue, extreme gut issues like diarrhoea daily, painful bloating and unable to absorb nutrients/malnourished and this was all from a combination of what “diet culture” and influencers had made me believe what “healthy” looked like.. but I also believe my 10 + symptoms was a domino effect from my symptoms being over looked for so long. One imbalance in the body, turned into another, then another.

I remember laying on the floor in fetal position in so much pain, I stopped socialising, quit my job, was literally just surviving... and after YEARS and ALL the tests and specialists, I still left with n answers (oh, apart from "you have IBS").
So… I started to do my own research and studies and found out that my body was stressed, I had multiple imbalances, gut issues, nutrient deficiencies and from following along with "diet culture" with all the processed, artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours, preservatives in foods, this was all setting my symptoms off even more. I was also over training, not regulating my nervous system, and found out that IBS was just a SYMPTOM not a diagnosis, plus a heap of other healing opportunities that had been overlooked for YEARS.
80% of women I was coaching were suffering from some sort of gut issues, or hormone issues, or what I call "metabolic chaos"..which had caused chronic DIS-EASE in the body..

I went on a journey of discovery and healing, it took years as I figured it out, now that I know where to look/what to focus on, I can collapse time with my clients healing journey, but in the beginning and for most others, it’s trial and error. The reason why I am so obsessed with also adding in bloodwork, is we can get to an individuals actual underlying issues/root causes which helps me create a personalised protocol for you to follow and this really does save you so much time, money and frustration.
We have been so brain washed into thinking how we should eat, that women also now have NO belief they will ever reach their health and fitness goals. They’ve been set up for failure and a heap of health issues to go with it and this then contributes to them not being able to take action..

Anyway...
Several times a day, I see “influencers” or fitness coaches on social media promote things a highly processed meal prep companies, “natural supplements” full of artificial ingredients saying it’s all natural as well as fat burners saying they are scientifically proven to burn fat… along with all of the other low calorie, sugar free, ultra processed "diet" foods that are impacting peoples gut and overall health.
This is what is wrong with the industry. The problem is these women have hundreds of thousands of followers and just get paid to talk cr*p… they will say whatever they need to, just to earn their income, but because that put “fitness” or health focused things in their page, all of a sudden they are looked up to and people WASTE their money on this crap, then wonder why they
have PMS, skin issues, gut issues, hormones imbalances etc…
What many people think is "healthy" is actually really impacting your health - ultra processed foods, always dieting/under eating, over training, then we have endocrine disruptors in beauty products, skin care, cleaning products - the list goes on. I myself have been sucked into this so badly in the past and I am the first to admit I use to promote certain things unknowingly that it was causing issues with my health, this was before I starting doing my own research, becoming more educated, qualifies and then dedicating all of my “spare” time on research, and further studies…

While your goals are my biggest priority, so is your health!!

This is just one of many reasons why I continue to educate as many people as I can, because what I once thought was "healthy" was actually a huge contributing factor to my symptoms.
